About us
The Map Library is located in the Department of Geography Geospatial Sciences and Earth Observation. The Library boasts of huge collections of information and knowledge products and services thatsupport teaching, research, and learning activities at the University of Zimbabwe. These library resources are in line with Education 5.0 which; encourage the production of goods and services for the upliftment of communities. The Map Library provides access to contemporary information and communication technology infrastructure that support research and a conducive environment for studying. Additionally, the Library offers many ways to support research, from consultations with information and knowledge management specialist on literature searching, course-related instruction, reference management software and expertise to research and guide to publishing.

Available Resources
The Map Library has a huge collection of research-level literature in both print and electronic format to support the teaching, research, and learning activities at the University of Zimbabwe. The collection covers geographic information systems, geospatial intelligence, landscape ecology; architecture, real estate management, spatial management and transport systems and mobility. The Library also provides access to different types of maps that include topographic maps, political maps, physical maps, climate maps and economic maps. In addition to the print resources, the Library provides access to a comprehensive collection of electronic resources that cater for disciplines of Geography Geospatial Sciences and Earth ObservationArchitecture and Real Estate. The electronic resources are accessed via the Campus Access or Remote Access to ensure ease of access to support research and learning. The Library provides access to an online repository of different types of maps that include topographic maps, political maps, physical maps, climate maps and economic maps.

Internet and computing services The Map Library provides access to contemporary information and communication technology infrastructure that support research. Patrons can conduct their research using desktop computers available in the Library. Additionally, users can bring their own devices to access the Internet. There are network cables and wireless connection provided in the Library.
