e-Resources databases for access in 2021

The University of Zimbabwe Library is pleased to inform the University Community of additional electronic resources databases covering diverse fields of study for access by students and staff. The four databases are described below. In addition information on how to access these and other databases is also provided.

 1. European Respiratory Society (ERS) Journals

ERS is an international organisation that brings together physicians, healthcare professionals, scientists and other experts working in respiratory medicine. ERS provides access to a range of respiratory journals and books.

 2. HeinOnline Law Database

HeinOnline is a premier online database that contains more than 2,900 journals on a variety of subjects, including animal rights, human rights, political science, history, gender studies, election law, civil rights, foreign relations, and more. All journals date back to inception and more than 90% are available through the current issue or volume. HeinOnline’s powerful search engine and user-friendly interface combine to provide both new and experienced users with an excellent research experience. Locating documents is quick, and searching includes facets to guarantee relevant search results.The database is appealing to researchers who are contacting research on law and related disciplines

 3. OpenEdition Journals

OpenEdition Journals is a journals platform for the humanities and social sciences. Founded in 1999 under the name of Revues.org, it is now home to 554 journals. Of the 150 000 articles, 95% are available in full-text access.

 4. Royal Society Journals

Royal Society Journals provide access to some leading international journals from the Royal Society, the UK's national academy of science. Titles cover the whole of the biological and physical sciences, and include Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society, the longest-running continuously published journal in the world. All these resources are accessible both On Campus and Off Campus.
