IDS training is a continuous process, and the duration and levels of training vary depending on the extent of need of different groups.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p><p><b>Reference Services<\/b><\/p><p>The use of appropriate referencing and citation techniques is encouraged for students, researchers, and staff so that they can achieve academic integrity by adhering to standards of academic writing and avoiding plagiarism. There are many referencing and citation styles. The Library provides training on the preferred style. For individual or group sessions on using the citation style, book an appointment with the Subject Information Specialist.\u00a0<\/p><p><b>Online Reference Management training<\/b><\/p><p>There are various software packages that one can use to help compile and manage references into a personal database or library, for example, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zotero.org\/\">Zotero<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mendeley.com\/?interaction_required=true\">Mendeley.<\/a> These software packages allow you to import your references directly into your own database from many online sources such as electronic journals, electronic books, websites, and library catalogues.
